Shingle Roofs

Shingle These shingles are made of a base (organic or fiberglass) that is saturated with asphalt and coated with minerals on one side to resist weathering. Fiberglass shingles are more flexible and stronger than organic shingles. Shingles come in a wide-variety of styles, quality, and colors. Shingle roofs can be overlayed with a new roof, if the initial roof is a single layer (3-tab shingle) and in good condition. The life expectancy of composition shingles depends on the rating and ranges from 20 to 50 years. Most manufacturers will cover a composition roof under warranty, but only if it has been installed by a certified roofer.

Lyons Roofing is a certified GAF® Materials Corporation Master Elite Contractor and a certified Certainteed® Select Shingle Master Contractor. Only 3% of U.S. roofing contractors are awarded these designations. Lyons Roofing is the only roofing contractor in Arizona to hold both of these certifications. Only contractors with these designations can provide you with the peace of mind of the highest level of warranty offered by the manufacturer to include a warranty backed by the manufacturer on the workmanship of your job. This is in addition to the workmanship warranty offered by Lyons Roofing. These warranties often include a field inspection by a neutral manufacturer’s representative assuring you that your roof has been installed to the highest specifications.
