Buying or selling a house with a Lyons Roofing system? Good news! We are happy to offer a one-time workmanship warranty transfer during the active warranty period. We ensure our top-tier manufacturer-backed warranties meet strict standards so the next owner receives the same level of protection and peace of mind. Here’s how the process works:

1. Schedule a Roof Inspection

To complete a warranty transfer, an inspection is required to confirm the roof remains in warrantable condition. We understand real estate timelines are tight and will do everything possible to accommodate your inspection period. During peak storm activity, scheduling may be impacted, so you may want to request an extension of your BINSR inspection response time if needed.

2. Complete the Warranty

After the inspection is complete, any corrections are approved and the appropriate fees are paid, the roof warranty will be deemed transferable. We will then process the appropriate paperwork and send it to you. Submit all forms back to us to ensure the warranty remains valid for the next owner and buyer.

3. Pay the Warranty
Transfer Fee

A transfer fee applies and is based on the roof’s square footage. The fee includes both the inspection and the official transfer of the warranty to the new homeowner. The fee can be paid by either the seller or the buyer. Please call our office for exact pricing, details, and to schedule your inspection. We do not charge the transfer fee if the roof is less than 12 months old.

Important Warranty Transfer Terms

Any non-warranty repairs, such as storm damage or other issues not related to workmanship or manufacturer’s issues, which are identified during inspection must be completed prior to transfer approval.
If any related repairs are not completed, the warranty will be deemed ineligible to be transferred.
Our warranty will be considered void and invalid if not transferred/paid within 90 days after close of escrow.
Make sure you have Lyons Roofing inspect your roof. If any other roofing contractor inadvertently damages a warrantied Lyons Roof during an inspection, your warranty may be voided.
