Warranty Transfers Made Simple,
And Done Right

Buying or selling a house with a Lyons Roofing system? Good news! Your warranty may be transferable, helping to protect the new homeowners and preserve the roof’s value. At Lyons Roofing, we don’t do “sorry, pay more.” We make sure our top-tier manufacturer-backed warranties are held to strict standards so the next owner gets the same level of protection and peace of mind. Here’s how the process works:

1. Schedule a Roof Inspection

A professional inspection is required before we can confirm the roof is in good condition.

This ensures the warranty remains valid for the next owner and buyer. Every inspection will specify all it’s needed for approval.

2. Pay the Warranty
Transfer Fee

Fees are based on your project size. Residential: $750 for the first 3,000 sq ft, or $400 over 3,000 sq ft. Commercial: Pricing varies by project. Fee must be paid by either the buyer or the seller.

3. Complete the Warranty
Transfer Form

Once the inspection and any corrections are approved, submit the transfer form. We’ll then process everything and get you the warranty transfer official for the new homeowner.

Important Warranty Transfer Terms

  • Manufacturer defects deemed our liability.
  • If you’re within our service area, the warranty is transferable for free.
  • If the home is sold outside the service area, the warranty may not be transferable.
  • After 3 years, the warranty may still qualify for one additional transfer. Contact the representative for the complete terms.
  • Any repairs identified during inspection must be completed prior to transfer approval.
  • If any related repairs are not completed, the warranty will not be transferred.

Why an Inspection Is Required

We’re not just checking a box here. We genuinely protect each and every property. A warranty transfer only works if the roof has been properly maintained and hasn’t developed issues that could affect long-term performance.

This protects the new homeowner from unexpected problems and ensures Lyons Roofing is standing behind the entire system.

A routine inspection is often sufficient. Just a couple of stops to the roof can move the transfer forward without an issue.
